One Fab Day
The Joyful Couple: Sarah & Seanie
We are delighted to share with you the wedding of Sarah Lawlor & Séan Callery, A wedding that captured both beauty and true love. After many years of travelling the world together, Seanie proposed during a visit home to Dublin in March 2012. This proposal came as no surprise to their friends and family and quickly turned their trip into a more concrete plan to move home.
During our 1st consultation with Sarah & Seanie we really got a feel of how special this day was to them and how Sarah's love of flowers would play a big part in their wedding day. Sarah said 'When I imagined my wedding flowers it was always a romantic image - My favourite flowers are peonies and hydrangeas and Caoimhe and the team were amazing - Caoimhe had warned me not to get my hopes up about getting peonies as it was very early in the season but she worked her magic!.
A beautiful selection of Pink & White Peonies, Pink & White Hydrangeas, Astilbe, Ranunculus and Waxflower were chosen to compliment Sarah's dress and her 2 bridesmaids who wore Champagne coloured dresses from 'The Suite' in Drury Street.
While Sarah and The Team at Joy's Flowers shared lots of ideas and designs, the 'Groom to Be' had one special request and that was for the Buttonholes to 'keep their shape and not to droop at all'. We chose waxflowers and lambs ear and this certainly kept Seanie and his Groomsmen happy on the day....
On Saturday 29th March 2014, Sarah & Seanie said their 'I do's' in Rathfeigh Church. The ceremony was very personal with Sarah's Uncle marrying them and members of Seanie's family amazing everyone with their traditional musical talents. With every last detail of their wedding carefully planned, Sarah 'wanted paticular pew ends for the church and Caoimhe made the amazing pew cones. She took a lot of time in making them exactly how I wanted' .
Following the ceremony, a fabulous reception took place in Tankardstown House. The Flowers from the Church were re-sited to the venue and along with the personal touches of 'Heinz Ketchup Bottles', 'Gold SCS Balloons' and 'Photos of the happy couple travelling the world', the room was set and ready for a night of fun, love and laughter...
